An Independent Voice of Community Guidance Since 2011

004 (2)Words from the founder

America is experiencing challenging and historic change.  A huge driving factor in our growth is a vibrant Latino community.  This impact reaches every corner of our great country, but navigating change in communities is tedious, ongoing work.  It is a labor without end because we have always been a nation of immigrants.  As an American woman born to immigrants, I made this labor of connection and guidance my life’s work.   I believe in the hope of America.  It is this hope that fuels my love for the people that give daily to their families, but struggle to understand basic pathways to success.  These pathways are an interconnectivity of family, education, the arts, spiritual support, civic involvement, resource guidance, and cultural diversity.  Together they weave strong,  healthy communities.

My Council’s contributions, and my personal investment,  is given without cost to communities.  The integrity of my mission is fundamental to raising awareness and circumventing the rigidity of many stagnant systems that have failed to keep up with our changing community.     America is a blessed nation, and our many communities have something quite beautiful to contribute to her, and to our world.  These efforts have been developed with the support of many giving people who also believe in the power of hope.
God Bless,
Maria Banos Jordan- President and Founder

What Carrs-Safeway offer to their employees

Extended warranties, which are often sold at Carrs-Safeway and other stores, often have a term of one year and a price that drops the longer the warranty is in effect.

The extended warranty on a new or certified pre-owned car can cost between $15 and $25 per year, according to Consumer Reports.

Support.ca has an "Ask A Better Rep" service that can answer questions about your credit and insurance.

Offers.ca sells extended warranties.

"You have to do the math and weigh the cost," Johnson said. "You don't need a lot of money to make a mistake, and if you shop around you'll get the best price." To submit a Marketplace query, email ask abetterrep@cbc.ca. Send your shopping tips, tricks and haggling tales to lori.garner@cbc.ca

Here's What You Need to Know

Its on shelves at some major retailers, but Carrs-Safeway employee auto insurance discount http://www.balloonsnthingspartystore.com/carrs-safeway-employee-auto-insurance-discount.html is not on the grocery store shelves. Carrs advertises its fresh salmon in its deli, grocery, and online outlets. Like many other retailers, Carrs advertises its store brand products. So the store brand section does not include Fresh Catch brand.

The Carrs Fresh Catch (as of October 2015, brands include Carrs Wild Salmon, Carrs Wild Atlantic Cod and Carrs Wild Salmon) line of fresh salmon and other fresh fish is produced by the Fry, Inc., in California. But the fish are not always available at all Carrs stores. Like other retailers, Carrs stores may carry products from other brands of fresh fish.

Canadian imports of Atlantic salmon are quite popular, and for good reason. They're not "dolphin-safe," but are often easier to find in this province because of the lengthy ice fishing season.

Current Value / Current Value/2016 Value

The price on a car is described in terms of a certain amount of dollars.

If a car is sold for $40,000, and after various costs are deducted, the net value of the sale is $30,000. The dealer will keep the $10,000 profit. (As an aside, the math of how the dealer will come up with his profit is a mystery to us, but we know he's keeping it.)

The true retail value of a used car will be much higher than $30,000, but if a Carrs shopper can pay $100 less for a car, then he or she should be happy. The fact is that Carrs does not set the retail value of their used cars. This is done by a third party appraisal company.

But this does not mean that the used car is worth $10,000 less. (That would imply that people who paid $10,000 more for the car, or perhaps those who bought a newer car than what they really wanted, would be selling at a loss. But since they are still buying and selling cars, that's not the case.)

The consumer pays the dealership a fee for their appraisal, and this fee is used by the dealer to set the price. A consumer who paid $40,000 can only expect to be given a $30,000 used car.

That $10,000 appraisal fee is the "estimated value," but it is not a deal-breaker. The other factors considered in setting the sale price are the condition of the car, how it compares to similar cars, and its condition when it came off the lot. If, for example, the dealership agreed that a new car was worth $40,000, and the used car was valued at $30,000, the consumer could expect to buy a new car for $40,000, or $30,000 with their Carrs' discount.

Insurance plans customization is a new trend

As a result, some have dropped the term "life insurance" from their name.

Millennials have indicated a preference for "health savings accounts" and "transitional funding" (also known as an individual retirement account).

This may be because of their nature of insuring the future, and in making that future "more" attainable, or they have been specifically marketed toward younger individuals.

Experiences differ widely from company to company, so in general, the most effective way to find out about these products is to ask.

See "life insurance policy comparison".

There are different types of life insurance.

Long term care insurance can be purchased directly from a life insurance company.

Or a group purchase is possible through a major life insurance company or a broker.

Where the insurance company or broker receives a payment from the individual at death, he may be reimbursed for the expense, typically 50% to 60%.

For instance, customize plans to do things like offer 100% coverage, the deceased policy holder might have had $20,000 in coverage.

For example, Progressive provides the choice of payment plans at different points in the coverage. And, for customers who opt in, it has launched a new feature on its auto-insurance website that shows how to get the best rate for driver's who are keen on staying safer behind the wheel.

Another example: "It's like buying a watch online," said Danielle Fugere, president of the Insurance Information Institute. "You can decide how you want to buy the watch. You can decide what size, what color." The bigger issue with these online programs is that they remain subject to rules that largely dictate that buying a product online requires a unique identification number, and those numbers are only available to a user's bank account or credit card.

The industry isn't ready to change those rules to allow for other authentication tools that could be used for insurance products. "I don't think we're ready to do that today," said Daryl Fairweather, senior vice president of industry relations for the American Insurance Association. "We're not entirely comfortable with it."

That hesitation is holding back companies such as insurtech-focused Underwriter Labs, which provides authentication tools that allow insurance companies to provide a better experience for customers, whether or not they are using an authentication app.

"They don't want to open a policy without a key," said Alex Goostry, co-founder and chief executive of Underwriter Labs, which currently provides two types of authentication tools to users of the Farmers Insurance Marketplace, including one that acts as a digital authentication key to mobile carriers and insurance companies. It is also building a way for users to carry over their driving records from their mobile devices to their future smartphones, using biometrics such as fingerprints, and connecting that information with the policies.

Yet Mr. Goostry, who sees a day when biometric identification will be part of all authentication processes, said that the traditional authentication systems that are used to prove a user's identity are still a good first step.

"The idea of digital security has been the centerpiece of what we do and what we recommend," he said. "But at the same time, there are some gaps, and companies need to find a way to deal with the fact that these digital systems aren't perfect. They need a way to try to mitigate those risks."

Acceptance Insurance Mobile AL When Getting Married

Another thing to keep in mind is that making a claim will affect your no claims bonus, as well as the insurance premium for many years. It is therefore best to refrain from making a claim over smaller matters.

Other factors affecting the cost of insurance policy include the town or city that you live in, your age and occupation, and the number of drivers on the policy. Some insurance companies may or may not charge for other optional services like legal advice on acceptance insurance mobile al.

There are many great things about getting married, and one of the biggest perks is being eligible for cheap car insurance. Well, sure you get to spend your life with someone you love and can start a family and build future together; that’s important too. But saving money is always a welcome event!

Marriage discounts are available through most auto insurance companies, and they can mean a savings of up to 25% or more from the traditional premium price. Other discounts such as multi-car and multi-policy may also apply after a couple is married. In addition to these event-related bargains, many companies offer cheap car insurance to longstanding customers.

The reason behind insurance company logic is largely a mystery, but one can assume that as people mature, settle down and start families, they become more responsible drivers. The reason behind multiple car and policy discounts is a bit more transparent. If an insurance company offers a acceptance insurance mobile al and discount for adding a second vehicle to the policy, they are more likely to gain the additional business. If there was no discount offered, their existing customer would be more inclined to leave and do business with the competition who is willing to offer a discount.

Maybe shopping for car insurance should not necessarily be the first thing to do after the honeymoon, but it is certainly a priority for couples who wish to save money and reduce the household budget. Couples should start by comparing their existing policies, especially if they are with two different insurance carriers. Whichever has the best rates for a single individual will likely also have the best rates for a married couple. However, that may not be the case depending on factors like accident history and overall driving records. An online quote can confirm the best choice.
